Envisioning strong, healthy, and well-protected communities
Grow Strong Foundation (GSF) is a youth-led, child-focused grassroots non-governmental organization based in Maiduguri, Nigeria. Established in 2017 and registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) in 2018, GSF is dedicated to protecting, promoting, and advocating for the inclusion of young people and individuals living with disabilities in social protection, peacebuilding, and community development initiatives, particularly in response to the insurgency in Northeast Nigeria.

Women Leading Change
Empowering communities through female-led leadership and workforce representation
Grow Strong Foundation (GSF) is proudly women-led, with strategic direction shaped by a female Executive Director and a leadership team that embodies the strength and resilience of the communities we serve.
With over 55% of our workforce made up of women across various implementation locations, GSF not only champions gender equality in programming—but lives it in practice. From field-based caseworkers and psychosocial support facilitators to senior program managers and technical specialists, women are at the forefront of our interventions, driving meaningful impact in child protection, education, GBV response, and peacebuilding.
This gender-balanced structure ensures that our programs are not only inclusive and responsive, but also grounded in the lived realities of women and girls in Northeast and Northwest Nigeria.
