Grow Strong Foundation (GSF) is a child-focused women and youth-led non-profit organization established in 2017. GSF is providing humanitarian assistance to children, IDPs, and other highly vulnerable people in collaboration with NHF OCHA, Unicef, and the Norwegian Refugee Council in Northeastern Nigeria. As part of our commitment to achieving the objectives of our strategic plan, GSF is seeking a qualified candidate to fill the vacant position.
Position: MEAL Manager (Compliance & Communication)
Location : Borno, Yobe and Adamawa State
Reporting: Executive Director
ROLE PURPOSE:
The MEAL Manager (Compliance & Communication) will be responsible for ensuring the Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL) systems are effectively implemented for all GSF projects. This includes ensuring compliance with donor requirements, managing data collection and analysis, and facilitating clear communication of project results to stakeholders.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Monitoring & Evaluation:
Develop and implement MEAL plans for GSF projects in alignment with donor requirements and project objectives.
Design and oversee the implementation of data collection tools (surveys, interviews, and focus group discussions) to monitor project progress and impact.
Analyze and interpret data to assess project effectiveness, identify areas for improvement, and inform project decision-making.
Develop and maintain a comprehensive database for project data.
Prepare and submit high-quality reports to donors and other stakeholders, highlighting project achievements, challenges, and lessons learned.
Compliance & Communication:
Ensure project activities are implemented in accordance with donor regulations, GSF policies, and best practices.
Develop and maintain risk management strategies for GSF projects.
Facilitate communication between the project team, donors, beneficiaries, and other stakeholders.
Develop and implement communication strategies to effectively share project results with internal and external audiences.
Prepare presentations and other communication materials to communicate project findings and recommendations.
Qualifications:
Master’s or bachelor degree in Mass Communication, Monitoring & Evaluation, International Development, or a related field (preferred).
Minimum 5 years of experience in MEAL within the NGO sector.
Proven experience in designing, implementing, and analyzing MEAL systems for complex projects.
Strong understanding of monitoring and evaluation principles, frameworks, and methodologies.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and manage relationships with diverse stakeholders.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent writing and presentation skills.
Proficiency in data analysis software and MEAL management tools.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
