As we step into August, we’re proud to reflect on the meaningful work accomplished in July. Our initiatives have significantly impacted our community, empowering individuals and fostering positive change.
Empowering Adolescents
We launched adolescent support groups in Fune, Gujba, and Potiskum, bringing together 90 young people. These groups provided a safe space to discuss critical issues like forced marriage and child labor, sparking hope and solutions within the community.
Educating Parents
Our mass sensitization event reached 360 parents across three LGAs, focusing on child protection, birth registration, and preventing gender-based violence. The overwhelming participation underscored the importance of these efforts in building a safer community.
Promoting Health and Safety
In Mairi and Galtimari, we conducted sessions on malaria prevention and gender-based violence. These discussions empowered community members with the knowledge to protect their health and safety.
Supporting People with Disabilities
We provided counseling sessions for individuals with disabilities in MMC and Jere, addressing social and employment challenges. We remain committed to ensuring equal opportunities for all.
Educating Out-of-School Children
We began classes for out-of-school children, including IDPs and returnees, focusing on literacy and numeracy. These efforts are crucial in helping these children build a brighter future.
Looking Ahead Our work in July has laid a strong foundation for continued impact. We are grateful for your support, which makes these efforts possible. Together, we will keep transforming our communities for the better.
Thank you for being part of this journey with us.
Warm regards,
